Delivery Person Terms
Rules for people who use Jarriv to accept and complete delivery requests.

These Delivery Person Terms apply to persons who register with Jarriv to view, offer for, accept or perform delivery requests through the Jarriv platform.
Eligibility
To use Jarriv as a delivery person, the user must:
- be at least 18 years old;
- provide accurate personal information;
- provide valid identification requested by Jarriv;
- provide a valid address, phone number and email;
- be legally entitled to perform paid work or self-employed activity in Switzerland where required;
- have any licence, registration, permit or insurance required for the vehicle or activity used;
- comply with applicable Swiss federal, cantonal and local laws.
Jarriv may request additional documents before activating or continuing an account.
Verification
Jarriv may verify identity using:
- passport or national ID;
- selfie/liveness verification;
- phone verification;
- address verification;
- driving licence where applicable;
- vehicle information where applicable.
Providing false documents or using another person's account may result in suspension.
Trial job and subscription
Jarriv may allow a new delivery person to accept one introductory delivery opportunity.
After that introductory opportunity has been used, further delivery requests may be blocked until the delivery person:
- completes registration and verification; and
- activates an applicable Jarriv subscription if required.
Subscription prices and benefits are shown before payment.
Choosing work
Delivery persons may choose:
- when they are available;
- whether to respond to a delivery request;
- which delivery requests they want to accept.
Where the platform allows offers, the delivery person may propose a delivery price.
The customer decides whether to accept or reject that offer.
Jarriv does not guarantee:
- a minimum number of delivery requests;
- minimum earnings;
- continuous work availability.
Accepted deliveries
Once a delivery is accepted, the delivery person should make reasonable efforts to:
- arrive at the agreed pickup location on time;
- remain reachable through Jarriv;
- collect the correct item;
- protect the item during transport;
- follow the agreed delivery destination and timeframe;
- update delivery status accurately;
- complete required pickup and delivery confirmation.
Late or unresponsive delivery persons
If a delivery person is materially late, repeatedly unresponsive, fails to appear or abandons an accepted delivery without reasonable cause, Jarriv may:
- issue a warning;
- reduce reliability score;
- reduce platform visibility;
- restrict access to new requests;
- temporarily suspend the account;
- terminate the account for serious or repeated violations.
Any monetary deduction, set-off or compensation mechanism will only be applied where expressly agreed, legally permitted and described in advance.
Pickup and delivery evidence
Jarriv may require:
- pickup photograph;
- delivery photograph;
- timestamp;
- GPS confirmation;
- customer or recipient PIN;
- digital delivery confirmation.
Photos should only be taken where necessary for the delivery and must respect privacy.
Lost, damaged or undelivered items
The delivery person must immediately report any lost, damaged, stolen or undeliverable item through Jarriv support.
Where appropriate, the delivery person may also be required to notify the owner and competent authorities.
Responsibility will be assessed according to:
- applicable law;
- evidence;
- circumstances;
- applicable insurance.
Vehicles and safety
Approved transportation methods may include:
- bicycle;
- e-bike;
- e-scooter;
- motorbike;
- car;
- van.
Delivery persons are responsible for ensuring that their transport method is legally permitted, maintained, insured where required and suitable for the delivery.
Prohibited items
Delivery persons must not knowingly transport:
- illegal goods;
- stolen goods;
- dangerous goods;
- prohibited substances;
- unlawful weapons;
- fraudulent items;
- any item prohibited by Swiss law.
Jarriv may refuse or cancel suspicious requests.
Conduct
Delivery persons must communicate respectfully with:
- customers;
- recipients;
- business users;
- Jarriv support.
Prohibited conduct includes:
- harassment;
- discrimination;
- threatening behaviour;
- fraud;
- misuse of customer personal information.
Account suspension
Jarriv may suspend or terminate accounts for:
- serious or repeated violations;
- fraud;
- safety concerns;
- identity issues;
- platform misuse;
- legal requirements.
Platform status
Jarriv is intended to operate as a technology marketplace connecting users who require deliveries with persons willing to perform them. The legal classification of a delivery person's activity is determined by applicable Swiss law and competent authorities based on the actual circumstances.
This document is a provisional Jarriv policy and may be updated following professional legal review and finalization of Jarriv's corporate, payment, insurance and technical structure.
